A narrow format around technical contents
The intended application was to hold technical products. The specified footprint was much longer than it was wide, making the item orientation an important packaging consideration.
The 1.25-inch depth also set a relatively shallow enclosure. Alongside the foam insert, it defined a compact presentation rather than a large equipment case.
Two-piece construction with a foam interior
The two-piece box provided the enclosure style, and the foam insert gave the interior a separate physical component. For a narrow package, that combination directs attention to both the available space and the arrangement seen when the box opens.
The insert belongs to the whole specification. Its thickness and any intended cutout configuration need to be considered within the box rather than in isolation.
Gloss-laminated printing on an elongated box
Printing supplied the branded surfaces, while gloss lamination specified a reflective finish. The elongated proportions made the principal printed face a different design space from a square gift box.
The visual presentation therefore came from the relationship between the printed enclosure and the technical contents arranged inside it.
