Custom Book-Style Rigid Boxes
Open the attached cover to reveal the product. A book-style rigid box connects the cover, spine and interior in one presentation built around your client’s brand.
A cover-led presentation for branded kits and gifts
A campaign kit or business gift may need an opening message before its contents are revealed. A book-style format links an exterior cover to the interior through an attached spine. That gives the brand a connected presentation as the recipient moves from the outside identity to the product inside.
At SleekBoxes, book-style rigid packaging is made around the actual gift or campaign assortment and your supplied artwork. The structural approach can be developed for a compact keepsake or a multi-item kit, with proportions selected for the specified contents. The product gets a branded presentation considered both closed and open.
Connect the cover to the product reveal
The closed cover introduces the brand. As it opens, the product becomes the focus, with the inside cover providing another surface to consider in the design.
For a launch presentation, the artwork brief might include a short product introduction. For a gift, a brief message may leave more attention on the contents. The intended artwork locations and printing requirements form part of the design request.
Set the spine depth around the packed product
The product and any internal supports determine how much depth the box needs. That depth influences the spine proportions and the space beneath the closed cover.
We develop the dimensions around the intended arrangement, including access for removing the product. A shallow accessory and a deeper product set each need proportions that suit their contents.
Choose the opening direction around how the box will be used
The hinge position determines how the cover moves and how the recipient approaches the contents.
For a box opened on a table, the artwork orientation and product layout need to read together from that position. If the presentation will be handled differently, describe that intended use so it can inform the design.
Opening direction, closure and internal arrangement are separate choices to establish for the project.
Consider the package with its contents in place
A visual layout shows where the product sits. It cannot establish lid clearance or how the hinged cover moves around the loaded contents.
We’ll need to know the size and weight of your products, along with any inserts you plan to use. That way, we can check whether everything fits properly and works with the box design.
Describe the route from empty box to finished presentation
Boxes stored empty, delivered to a packing team, and mailed after filling have different handling requirements.
Tell us how the packaging will be stored and where filling will take place. If the filled box will be mailed, include the packed contents and delivery requirements so outer protection can be considered.
Our offer covers the empty custom box. Filling and sourcing the product, as well as distributing it to the recipient, need separate arrangements.
Review the package through an optional physical sample
If you'd like to check the box before production, you can request a physical sample. It's a chance to see how the lid opens, how the hinge moves, and whether your product can be taken out easily. Depending on what you want to check, we can discuss a structural sample or a printed one.
Samples aren't required, and the cost and turnaround time depend on the type you choose. Any sampling fees you pay will be credited toward your final production order.
Design and delivery support for the agency
If you're ordering packaging for a client, we can help with the design and dielines using your supplied artwork, at no extra cost. We can also work under an NDA and ship the boxes straight to your client. Just let us know if you have any special delivery or sender-label instructions before placing the order.

Does “book-style” mean the box has a magnetic closure?
No. Book-style describes the hinged opening, rather than a particular closure.
Include any closure preference in your enquiry so the available approach can be confirmed for the design.
Are book-style rigid boxes suitable for sending PR kits to influencers?
Yes, but you'll usually need an outer shipping carton to protect the box during delivery. If your agency is sending kits to multiple influencers or press contacts, share the contents, packed weight, and destinations so we can help you plan the right protection.
What affects the price of custom book-style rigid boxes?
Dimensions, construction, quantity, artwork requirements, and any internal supports contribute to the quotation.
Include your opening-direction and closure preferences, together with the delivery destination and required date.
Will the lid stay open when someone is taking the product out from a book-style box?
That depends on the hinge, lid weight, and overall construction. Some book-style boxes open wider than others, and the lid won't necessarily stay upright on its own. If you need it to remain open for a product display or presentation, mention that when discussing the design.
Can a book-style rigid box hold more than one product?
It can. You might have a main product alongside smaller accessories, samples, or printed materials. Depending on their sizes and weights, we can look at different insert arrangements to keep everything in place. This also helps you plan what people see first when they open the lid.
