Rigid Box Styles
Explore custom rigid box styles for branded product presentations, PR kits, launches, and gifting. Compare book-style, magnetic closure, drawer, shoulder-neck, foldable, and other product options by the opening and construction you need.
We make the boxes to your chosen size and style, with inserts and finishes to match. They come empty, and we'll use your artwork for the printing. Printed layouts use your supplied artwork. There is no minimum order quantity. Choose a style to explore its product details, or ask for a recommendation based on your intended contents.
Choose the structure around the way the box will be used
A rigid box style determines how the package opens and how its contents are presented. A removable lid, hinged cover, or sliding tray creates a different interaction before printing and finishes are added.
Start with the intended product and handling. A box opened on a presentation table, a gift opened in someone’s hands, and packaging used to compare samples may favour different access and internal arrangements. The same structural direction can serve more than one campaign or gifting application.
Compare the opening and closure as separate choices
A lift-off lid separates from the base to reveal the contents. A hinged or book-style cover stays attached as it opens, and space is left inside the lid for a logo or printed message. A drawer-style box brings the contents out on a sliding tray.
Book-style describes the attached cover and its opening. Magnetic closure describes how a box closes. A design can combine both, so its product details should show the cover arrangement and closure separately.
Match the internal space and external shape to the contents
A shoulder-neck rigid box uses an inner shoulder between the base and lid, adding a visible or concealed structural detail to the presentation. Custom-shaped rigid boxes let you create shapes beyond standard square and rectangular boxes. Their dimensions and components need to be developed around the contents.
Compare usable internal dimensions as well as the external footprint. Leave room to grip a cap, lift a handle, or remove an accessory. Inserts and internal layouts can be developed around those actions, so keeps the product in place and easy to remove and remains accessible when the box opens.
Check storage and assembly when comparing foldable options
If storage space before use matters, explore foldable or collapsible rigid-box product options. Confirm how the proposed design is supplied, how it is assembled, and the space it occupies before and after assembly.
Assembled boxes need room for their finished dimensions before filling. With a foldable option, check how the box arrives flat and how much assembly it needs for the proposed design. Comparing those requirements helps you choose a presentation that fits the storage and packing process.
Add the brand treatment after the structure is clear
Printing and finishes change the surfaces; they do not replace the opening decision. Once a direction is selected, inside and outside artwork can be planned around the faces visible when the box is closed and opened.
Foil can highlight a logo or design detail, while embossing and debossing add raised or recessed treatments. Spot UV and matte, gloss, or soft-touch options provide other surface effects. Their suitability depends on the selected material and construction. Box size, component complexity, insert design, print, finishes, and quantity all contribute to the quotation.
Use physical sampling to inspect the proposed structure of a rigid box
An optional existing or custom physical sample lets you inspect the opening, closure, internal arrangement, and handling relevant to the style under consideration. Sample costs and timing vary, and the charges are deducted from your final production order.
Sample type, fee and timing depend on the project, with sample charges credited against the final production order.
Review the artwork in the selected format of your rigid box
We'll use your artwork to prepare the box design, dielines, and print-ready files at no extra cost. Before production, you can check a digital proof to see how everything sits on the lid, sides, and inside of the box.

Can we request a style recommendation without a finished dieline?
Yes. Share the product or contents you want to package and any opening reference you already like. Approximate dimensions are useful if available. We can discuss a structural direction, then use your supplied artwork for the layout and dieline preparation as the design develops.
Do rigid boxes need extra packaging for shipping?
Rigid boxes are sturdy, but they can still get dented or damaged in transit. If you're mailing them, an outer shipping carton may be needed to protect the box and its contents. You can also share how the package will be sent so the transit-packaging requirement can be considered alongside the presentation design.

Explore the style options or tell us what you want to package and how you would like it to open. An approximate quantity is helpful if known. We can develop the structure and internal arrangement from that starting point.
